The interdisciplinary Center for Responsibility in Finance (CRF) was established in 2011 by Prof. Dr. Carmen Tanner to advance research and education in behavioral ethics/compliance in the realm of finance and business. Its goals included (1) enhancing our comprehension of the factors influencing illegal and unethical behavior, (2) crafting effective strategies to nurture compliance and integrity management, and (3) advocating for integrity within academic and professional education, fostering a culture of ethical conduct.

The center was closed in 2023. All relevant content was moved to Prof. Dr. Carmen Tanner's Website.

New Innosuisse project to develop a digital dialog system for heuristics-based integration of ELSI into data-related decisions at Swiss companies

Prof. Carmen Tanner has been approved for an Innosuisse project (2023-2025) in cooperation with Prof. Christian Hauser (University of Applied Sciences Chur) and four business partners. The aim of the project is the development, optimization and validation of a digital dialogue system that enables Swiss companies to integrate and implement heuristic-based ethical, legal and social aspects (ELSI) in data-related decision-making processes.

Prof. Carmen Tanner to participate in a unique exchange forum

On October 26th and 27th, 2023, the School of Business of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts will be hosting a special event: the first Integrity Europe Conference at the Institute of Financial Services Zug IFZ. Prof. Carmen Tanner and numerous other experts from the fields of business, politics, and academia from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) will discuss the current trends and challenges facing companies in the areas of compliance and integrity.
